The ISCFC is all about reducing our individual and collective contributions to climate change.
But is climate change really happening? Is it mostly caused by human activity, including our production of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases?
In the United States and elsewhere, there are people who are not convinced by the science. But the great thing about science is that we use evidence to evaluate scientific questions. So what is the evidence related to climate change?
Are you or are you not convinced by the majority of climate scientists who say that climate change is real and largely human caused? Why are you convinced/not convinced? What evidence might change your mind one way or the other?
Is Climate Change Real & Human-Caused? >
Yes and No
I believe that climate change can be a mixture of human activity as well as earth experiencing a warm-up period. According to climate.gov over the years of earth, there have been many ice ages and warm-up periods. I'm not saying that it isn't real, i'm saying that there is always a bigger picture to the story. You can't just say that there is climate change just because of the earth's temperature has gone up a couple degrees. When the temperature increases just a little bit(probably because of increased carbon emissions) the earth goes in a cycle by itself. The earth will warm itself up regardless of human activity. Guess what? The earth has always cooled down after a warm-up period.
Also most of the people on here say that "we need to take action and stop climate change!" but than they go home and not care about it until the next time it comes up in a discussion.
