Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Eating Less Meat
Meat usually comes from factory farms, which are cruel and inhumane. Cows especially produce the greenhouse gas methane via excrement and gas. Instead, eat plant based alternatives.
I agree with the eating less meat part fully. However eating plant-based alternatives like textured vegetable protein are highly processed. For each process needed that is one more mechanical process which is driven by electricity, or another chemical like hexane which is a solvent used in the manufacture of plant-based meat alternatives. Instead of eating the highly processed food that has no resemblance to what it originally was. It is better to eat, well vegetables in their whole form.
I do agree with eating less meat, although there are many people that would never give up meat, especially beef. One thing you can do if you dont want to fully give up meat but also want to help with a change is in substitute of beef, you could switch to eating more chicken instead. If you want to switch to eating no meat, there are many plant based alternatives that arent great and are very processed like you said. Which is just more of a mechanical process involving more chemicals and gas. So it would be better to stick to eating more raw, fresh vegetables in their original form.
