Is having the latest technology a want or a need?
How often do you get a new cel phone or mp3 player? Did you really need a new model? Do you consider the environmental impact of these purchases? If you are addicted, how can you break your addiction?

Wants or Needs?
Something that has definitely become a problem nowadays is the rise in consumerism. This is especially prominent in spaces such as social media, where the next new trend is an opportunity for an abundance of purchases that aren’t typically necessary, causing excess waste and product consumption. While I personally try and stay realistic with my purchases, I have seen how the influence of others has caused a blurred line between “wants” and “needs”. Additionally, with the rise in online shopping and things such as fast fashion, making purchases have become so convenient that they end up becoming second-nature to most people.
Many of us buy things to appear, but we don't really need them! I don't agree with the high consumism, I don't understand why we should change objects that still work, such as people who change mobile phone every year, or more clothes even their closets are full.
