Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

electric cars

even though using a lot of energy is bad, electric cars would be better for our environment instead of using gas. millions of people drive gasoline cars and cutting down to only using electric cars can make a big difference to cut down the CO2 in the air

I completely agree Moravia. New and improved way of transportation can definitely reduce our carbon footprint. Also carpooling would help too.

Actually, according to (http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/new-s … le/2566847) Electric cars are worse for the environment per mile than comparable gasoline-powered cars. Electric cars are about half-a-cent worse per mile for the environment than gas-powered cars, on average.
