Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Reduce our carbon footprint
There are various ways to reduce our carbon footprint, carpooling would be a great option to reduce our carbon footprint, but I think if we used more public transport it would be more effective and less polluting.
Obvious that to use always public transport ins't possible, for personal raisons and wants, but if we try harder to organize ourselves and succeed, we could greatly help our planet.
I agree. day to day, there are a lot of opportunities to walk, bike, or take public transport to places that are short distances. especially when people in first world countries like Canada have the option and priveledge to drive cars, which is already a luxury. I think encouraging manual or public transportation would help reduce carbon emissions and polluting compared to the amount of planes, cars, etc. that are used daily. it's also an easy way to achieve daily exercise.
