Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Our contribution is important

To reduce our pollution we need to change our way of life. If the human being does not change his way of life, the world will not change and the situation will get worse and worse. According to some scientists, 2050 can be defined as the beginning of the end, for what will happen this year. For example, we can decrease the amount of meat we eat, or we can choose to eat products that don't need much transport to get to us. In the field of transport, we can use the car less and use more public transport; or better still go on foot or by bike, if we have to move within our small country.
