Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

My dad drives a hybrid car, and even though it still needs gas, it definitely does not give off as much pollution as much as other cars.  It definitely helps out the environment.

More people should invest in green electric cars so they can save money on gas as well as keep our environment more clean. If electric cars were  an option for the everyday person I think more people would invest in them because they would help us pressure what oil we have left and keep from burning fossil fuels.

I agree that more people should use electrical cars, but the problem is that companies make these cars as luxury cars, like Tesla. Many people can't buy these cars because of their price. I think something that car companies can do is invest in ways that make electric cars much cheaper to buy and produce
