Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

The amount of CO2 in the atmosphere is increasing every minute. Scientific research says that Human activities have raised the atmosphere's carbon dioxide content by 50% in less than 200 years. I think that there is a way for everybody to reduce their own carbon footprint at home,  some ways to do so are: save water, reduce electricity usage, minimize food waste, and travel more efficiently. We need to address this problem, our climates temperature has increased so much that even if emissions of greenhouse gases were to suddenly stop, Earth's surface temperature would require thousands of years to cool and return to the level in the pre-industrial era.

Yes, but stopping emission will dramatically change the earth and help our enviorment
