Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Foot Prints around the world
Hello my name is Martina and I noticed that in Iceland the transportation is 4234 kg compared to the island maldivas that is 193 kg so the difference is 4041 kg. Compared to my foot print that is 11,684 kgs and I think because I travel a lot through plane per year like 4-5 times for around 10 hours in a plane, also every morning in the week I go to school for about 20 minutes and back. I think in the maldives the transportation is much lower in the maldives because the island is smaller and also they use a lot of boats like sailboats which do not emit CO2 and use fairies to get around. Many hotels in the maldives provide bicycles for the guests to get around.
