Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Reducing Carbon footprint
Some changes I can make to lower my carbon footprint is traveling less by car. If I am able to get to a destination next to my house I can just walk by foot or ride a bike. I noticed that transportation was my highest carbon contributor in my footprint. I use 8726 kgs of carbon in my transportation and I can heavily reduce that by carpooling places or walking. I could eat less meat such as chicken and beef and substitute a lot of meat for fish like salmon and cod. If I eat less eggs then my carbon footprint would be lowered because I am eating less chicken products which impact my carbon footprint a lot. My food carbon footprint said that I use 8150 kgs of carbon because of food. I can reduce this by narrowing down what days I eat red meat and substituting that for vegetables and fish.
