Carbon Footprint (USA)
I'm Isabelle and I live in Mooresville, North Carolina. I'm 16 and my total carbon footprint was 14,694 kgs. This is a little below the average for my region. Most of my carbon footprint came from my home and transportation which were both in the 5,000 kgs. I do think that most of my carbon footprint made sense for my area and my life style, but I will admit that I was a little surprised at how low my purchases was compared to my region since I feel like I'm always buying stuff. During this project, I learned that we're not always entirely sure of what impact our everyday life has on our environment, which is usually a much bigger impact that we think it is. In the future I would definitely want to by strict on recycling and walking to my destinations instead of driving when I can.
