Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

How do you maintain a low carbon footprint?
I have an extremely large footprint, mostly because of transportation but its high in almost every category. What are some things you do and I can do to cut down on usage?
Try not to go anywhere by airplane, and use public transportation more often to reduce your carbon footprint.
also try not to buy things that you don't need and reusing paper
I have an extremly high carbon footprint for travel also. Some ways I am thinking about cutting back is that instead of maybe flying somewhere instate or in a nearby state I might drive. Another way is working on setting up more carpools for getting to school, sport practices, and other after school activites.
You can expand your carpool and carpool places when you have the ability to.
try not to use electricity and be more aware of they things you buy and use
Thanks for all the ideas, I'm going to try using some them like reusing paper and trying to carpool.
You must think of every possible effect your actions have on the environment. Think about what your doing and why. Even like the most simple things have an effect on the environment. For example, think your buying a toy or shirt that you really want, but do not need. Think about the massive ammounts of CO2 emmisions to make the shirt. So buying the shirt means there will only be more CO2 emmited to manufacture another one.
