Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Greener Shopping

mar_

Brand new use a lot of plastic, fabric, energy, and fuel to create. This is due to the packaging, raw materials, electricity from the factories, and gasoline for transportation to stores. A better way to be more resourceful is to buy used or go to a thrift shop. Many great clothes can be found at one but you just have to make an effort to look deeper. A lot of my clothes are from thrift shops, and I save a lot of money by doing that.
