Is Climate Change Real & Human-Caused?

The ISCFC is all about reducing our individual and collective contributions to climate change.

But is climate change really happening? Is it mostly caused by human activity, including our production of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases?

In the United States and elsewhere, there are people who are not convinced by the science. But the great thing about science is that we use evidence to evaluate scientific questions. So what is the evidence related to climate change?

Are you or are you not convinced by the majority of climate scientists who say that climate change is real and largely human caused? Why are you convinced/not convinced? What evidence might change your mind one way or the other?

Is climate change real & human-caused?

Climate Change is real and humans are the reason. The earths climate naturally changes yearly. The temperatures can rise and fall but it is all somewhat at an even pace. In this day and age, the climate is changing much faster than it has ever naturally. The warmest temperatures ever recorded have been since the year 2001. Though the earths climate can be extremely cold in the winter, this is still due to climate change. Not only does the earths climate get warmer but that also means that the cold temperatures get extremely cold. The changes to our climate make the winter season last longer with an even colder climate. Since 1880, what we may think is a normal human activity, burning fossil fuels, are actually causing the globe to heat up. The reason this is happening is because all of the fossil fuels that humans burn, make the natural levels of carbon dioxide, methane, etc. off balance. When these natural occurrences are off balance, it makes the natural greenhouse effect worse. The greenhouse effect is when natural gasses help the earth trap heat from the sun, and then release it. What the extra greenhouse gasses do, however, is they cause the ozone layer to trap even more heat and make it more difficult for the earth to release this heat. This is why humans are causing the globe to get so extremely hot, so quickly.
