Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Plant a Tree or Other Types of Plants
If you want to plant a tree or have a garden, go for it. Trees absorb carbon dioxide and give off oxygen. A single tree will absorb approximately one ton of carbon dioxide during its lifetime. Other plants also conserve carbon dioxide.
I agree, this is a great way to help the environment.
I agree also, plants and gardens are great to look at, and help us survive because they give us oxygen. Also if you have a garden, you can plant some of your own food and this saves the planet in so many ways. One being no transportation pollution, another being cost. This website goes a bit deeper as to why gardening is so helpful. http://www.healthguidance.org/entry/147 … nment.html
