Eating Local
Together in our communities we need to improve on eating from local farms and markets. After doing my carbon calculator, I noticed that my food was one of the longest bars. However, I know it would be easy to truncate it by eating locally. If this was to happen, all the carbon emitted from the transportation of foods from around the world to my town would no longer be a factor. Buying locally would also help support family businesses as well as eliminate the horrific amount of carbon it takes to bring food in from far away.
