Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

My Carbon Footprint(NC, USA)-Alishia
Hi, my name is Alishia. I am from Mooresville, NC in the United States. In our class we learned about carbon footprints and how to consume. My total carbon footprint was 13,600 kgs and our class average footprint was 21,430 kgs. My carbon footprint was below average. I think this is because I don't travel as much only throughout the summer and my family travels short distances. The majority of my carbon footprint came from food. I think this is because I eat out a lot more than I should. I was surprised at the fact that I use less carbon than my region. Throughout this project I learned there are many ways to consume and change the amount of carbon I use daily. In the future, I can take shorter showers and don't eat out as much.
I agree with you. I definitely eat more than I should. But one of the ways that we could reduce that is to eat healthier so that it will fill us up faster. I also can take a shorter shower. They are very relaxing but that's a lifestyle change that could help our resources.
I was also surprised that my footprint was lower than average. I think it's a good idea to take shorter showers and not eat out as much because those are two things that I need to do also. I also do not travel as much except during the summer.
