Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Yes we do. I believe that with more regulations we can combat it very effectively.

Yes it is important to lower our impact on the enviornment but global warming acording to nasa is is unstoppable at this point. This is due to what is called a positive feedback loop. If you would like to know more about this go to http://climate.nasa.gov/news/1088/

Yes, I think it's important to stop global warming because if we don't stop polluting this is going to convert into a big problem and the earth one day will disappear.

I agree with you, global warming is such a big problem, many animals are in danger of extintion or extint by the global warming. More and more people are affecting the environment and this is going to cause the end of the earth

I also agree. If we want to continue to live on the planet, we should make sure it is able to last. Each small step towards change can make a dramatic difference for our planet.

I agree, this is something that affects everyone but no many people wants to help. Global warming is destructing the ozone layer. The problem is that it is caused by humans but we could stop it by using electric more electric cars or releasing less fcf gases. It is true that scientist and many people are triyng to pollute less but to stop global warming all the world should do it.
We could do it by using more public transports and by turning the light off when we could.
