My name is Katie, I am 17 years old and I live in Mooresville, NC, USA. My carbon footprint average was 27,230 kgs. For my region, I am almost two times higher. My transpiration is what made my footprint so high. I live on the outside of town and have to drive far distances to get anywhere. Also it is about 100 miles, to and from school for me for a week. I expected my footprint to be above average, just because of my lifestyle. I live in the country, therefore transpiration is a big category for me. I was shocked at my purchases totals compared to my regions. I was below average and that was interesting. I shop all the time, so to be considered below average was something that took me by surprise. To help my future carbon footprint would to be carpool more and only go to town when it's necessary.

I think it's interesting about how far away your from the school when we live in the same town and I only have to travel about 4 miles. It's also interesting that you're below averages for purchases just like me.
I was also above average as well at 46,725 kgs which is shockingly higher than yours considering I live near the middle of town. I also drive possibly around 100 miles a week (give or take a few) and my car is not a fuel efficient one. I imagine that living out so far you all make a lot of your meals yourself so you will not have very much waste. One thing that could make your footprint less would to consider purchasing an energy efficient car that has a high MPG rate.
