Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

My Carbon Footprint
Isabel Gonzalez, Mooresville, North Carolina (USA) Age: 15
My carbon footprint was about 14,501 kgs and I think its just a little bit below average for North Carolina. My carbon footprint mostly came from Home usage. I was a little bit shocked because everyday lifestyles don't seem to affect much but in reality they affect us a lot more than expected. I thought it would be a little bit below average but that's not the case here. Out of this whole thing, I learned that we need to start taking action to help reduce EVERYONES carbon footprint. Of course not everyone is going to want to but hey, every little bit helps. We need to step up and start Reusing things and recycling things so we can cause less damage than we have already. I want to start recycling more and using more eco-friendly things at home, so that way maybe I can reduce my carbon footprint and maybe encourage other people to start helping too!
I agree with this 100% we should reduce everyones carbon footprint.
I agree with you. People need to start thinking of what they're doing everyday because we are causing more damage then we intend to without even realizing what is happening.
