Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

My total carbon foot print was 11,886. My footprint is about average. The majority of my footprint came from transportation. They result I expected was that transportation would be the highest. I learned that I should try to only use transportation when necessary. In the future I can use less fossil fuels.

I agree with you, transportation takes up a lot in the carbon footprint.

I also agree. People use cars a lot but I believe ways to reduce that could be by taking public transportation
