Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Carbon Footprint
Mooresville, North Carolina (US) Age: 15
My total calculated carbon footprint was 6,373 kgs. It was below average for North Carolina and most of it came from transport. I thought the school bus and the car would be the cause of most of it due to the fact that I go a lot of places. I think in the future the need for using cars and the bus to get to and from places won't be needed because most places will be within walking distance.
You need to do better and help the Earth more
I agree with this i think we should stop taking vehicles to go to places that are close.
I think walking will help a lot with your carbon footprint even though it is already really below it is still good to keep getting it lower.
You could also start using alternate/healthier ways to get to school.
My transportation was also the highest because I drive to and from school
All transportation could use healthier ways to run. You could also use bikes to get from place to place.
I agree with your statement about the transportion
I think you are on the right track. Not using as much transportation can lead to less of a carbon footprint.
I agree with this because we are all taking very much big space when we can walk somewhere that is close, and its good for you to save your gas and gas money.
I agree with your statement and that is really good that it is below the average, your doing good.
I agree, carpooling as well would be a good idea.
