Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Be Green
"Eat locally-produced and organic food. It has been estimated that 13% of U.S. greenhouse gas emissions result from the production and transport of food. Transporting food requires petroleum-based fuels, and many fertilizers are also fossil fuel-based."
I agree about the eating locally grown and organic food idea. Not only is the transportation bad and emits pollution, locally grown food is just better for you in general. This website has some more reasons why eating locally grown food is good than just the pollution of the transportation. https://www.uvm.edu/vtvegandberry/facts … local.html

I agree with the eating locally but organic food has the drawback of often having to be transported and just because it is organic does not mean pesticides were not used.
I strongly agree, eating locally grown food will boost your economic growth and also is better for the environment.
