My Carbon Footprint (North Carolina, USA)
My name is Travis I'm 16 and a Junior at Mooresville High School.

My carbon footprint is below average compared to my region. That's mostly due to my transportation being really low because I walk to places rather then ride also I don't travel around a lot either. Most of mine though comes from Home and Food as you can see by my data that's because my mom likes to keep on the heat during the winter because she doesn't like being cold. Also for food I like to eat till I'm full so I don’t have to eat later.
My reaction to it was not what I thought it would be I knew my transportation would be low due to me not traveling much and if I do I walk, but then for food I didn’t think it would be as high as it was. My home was also something I felt would be around close to the region and it was because as stated before my mother keeps the heat on during the winter. I didn’t really notice how much lower mine is compared to my region (North Carolina) because mostly of my transportation.
Fo r the future I’m going to try and decrease my footprint more. I’ll start by eating less or at least eating out a little less. Maybe also try and talk my mom down on how much heat my family uses in the winter and take that down some more. Mostly though it’s the heating that drives my carbon footprint up in home and eating out that increases my food.
