Carbon Footprint NC
Hello, My name is Billy and I'm 16 years old. I'm from Mooresville, NC in the US. We did this project in our Earth Science class and my total was 14,484. This total was below average in my region and below my school average as well. I was high in transportation and low in home. I believe I was higher in transportation averages because I travel a lot for soccer games and going to the beach in Florida. I thought that my footprint would be a little higher than the average, but it was actually lower! I think it was lower because my family recycles a lot of products. I learned that in the future, I can do better to help the environment and that if we all cut back on some of the things we do, we can make a big difference!
It's good that your carbon footprint was lower than your region's. My transportation was high as well. A good way to reduce it is to carpool more often or walk/bicycle places.
