Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Carbon Footprint Catherine T.

My carbon footprint was higher than I expected it and was above average  with a total of 18,057kgs. The majority of my carbon footprint came from transportation. I wasn't that surprised because I know that my family and I do travel for the most part. I've also learned that others have a much higher carbon footprint and a much lower carbon footprint. For future actions I would definitely start walking more than usual and in general save more energy.

Your carbon footprint is very good. One thing you should do is walk more and save gas for transportation.

True, Im with you. Traveling can definitetly bring a footprint to go higher, Its good to start walking. Better to save energy

Transportation seems to be a common issue among us teens. I believe if we all started walking or biking we could bring down carbon emissions a ton.
