How are people improving on their individual carbon footprints?  Are you actively trying to lower your carbon footprint total with this information or are you using this as a tool to remain aware of your individual impact on the environment?

Does anyone else believe that the carbon footprints of businesses should be made public?  Would carbon footprint information on various businesses influence your patronage or support?

The most effective actions individuals can take involve changing energy use associated with transportation and powering your home, as well as purchasing socially and environmentally responsible products. We can buy locally grown food, we can advocate for public transportation, we can protect green spaces. While lifestyle changes can reduce the size of an individual's Ecological Footprint, the Footprint also can inspire others and help society build sustainable ways of life for all. Cities and regions can reduce their Ecological Footprints and enhance sustainability by working together toward positive change. We can construct green buildings; Environmentally friendly construction materials and energy-efficient designs can have an enormous effect on society's use of natural resources.

Everyday I try to lower my carbon footprint by, say for example, recycling, going on bike to places instead of going by car, which are infamous pollutants, etc... Although I try to make a difference, it won't matter if other people do nothing. We all need make a difference. I do believe companies should publicly show their carbon footprints.

Yes, I think bussinesses need to make public their carbon footprint  because  we dont really know how much they are poluting our planet and big enterprises are the most pollutant places in the world.

I and my friend Andres also think that because that way they will try to lower their carbon footprints because if they have it too high, people will buy from other companies with a lower carbon footprint.

Everyone who is looking for a new car must buy an hybrid. Although, they are more expensive, in time they would become cheaper than normal ones because electricity is cheaper than fuel.
Toyotas' hybrid cars are a great option.

I strongly believe that we should be aware about how big the carbon footprint of business are. It would really influence us when we  buy the  products.

Like pablorf02 I'm also trying to reduce my carbon footprint, but in some ways is difficult.For example I can't go by foot or by bicycle from Cadiz to Jerez.As I can't reduced in the way of transport I try to do the best in the way of recycling. I think that carbon footprint of business should be public because we should know what we are buying and the process that it takes to do it.It will influence my patronage in business depending on the carbon footprint.

I'm trying to lower my carbon footprint by going by foot to school and using the car the less I can, for example, when I hang out with my friends we all try to go in the same car so we pollute the less as possible. In my opinion business should reveal their carbon footprint because we all have the right to know what we are buying and how is it polluting our planet.

In my personal opinion i think that most of the people has to recycle more to reduce Carbon Dioxide ,
- People isn´t recycling so that goes to the reason of earning more carbon
-Im trying to reduce my carbon footprint  by going to school with my friend/neighbour Hector.But i earn more carbon by going on plane or other countries.
-I think other companies should reveal their carbon footprint because  the government has to know who pollutes more and who pollutes less.
-I don´t think i would be influenced by other people polluting beacuse i pollute a lot.

Global warming is bad

We can help the environment and the Earth easyly, for example:
-Turning off the light, the tv and all the electric devices when we aren't using them or when we don't need them.
-Turning off the tap while we are brushing our teeth or taking showers instead of baths.
-When we want to go to somewhere we could get the bus, go on bike and go walking instead of using the car.

I agree with you all and its a serious problem but some people are not concerned on such a bad problem.

Use natural ventilation or a fan to keep cool, as much as possible.If you do use an air conditioner, set it to a slightly lower temperature than outside. Remember that setting the temperature lower uses more electricity, and it won't cool things off any faster.

I absolutely agree with you. People just don't realize the dangers of global warming. We should take care of the environment and raise awareness of the risks we're taking by not helping the planet.

I agree with you all, but people are not concerned with this serious problem. Many people don't care and they do not  take care by recycling or trying to reduce their carbon footprint, by stop using the car or using less energy in domestic uses. Because this is serious and if we don't help we could exting so many animals like the polar bear because due to global warming the ice is melting and the polar bear is in danger if extincion.
