The Millenium Development Goals, agreed to by every member country of the United Nations in 2000, call for the worldwide eradication of poverty and hunger, universal education, gender equality and huge improvements in health by 2015: two years ago!!

The deadline of 2015
I think the UN had a great idea by setting those goals of improving universal welfare and making everyone's lives better. But I also think 2015 was a little greedy, by 2026, 11 years after the goal, pretty much none of these goals have been achieved.
