Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

My carbon footprint is ok

seanlowe

My name is Sean and im from colorado. The carbon footprint for the average person is 18,918kgs but through doing the carbon footprint calculator I found out that I have a carbon footprint of 8,793 which is below average. The only problem was that I leave the biggest carbon for transportation.

I agree with you, my carbon footprint is below average as well but traveling with transportation was not the big deal. I think I need to drive then I walk though so I could have a average.

My carbon footprint for transportation is also extremely high. Mine footprint would of been below average if I traveled less. Hi from Orange Park Florida!!
