Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Alissa's Carbon Footprint
My name is Alissa Coulter, I'm 15 years old, and I'm from Mooresville North Carolina in the United states. My total carbon footprint is 4,825, which is below average in North Carolina and more than average world wide. The majority of my footprint comes from my home. When I learned what my footprint was I was surprised. I thought it would have been a lot more. I learned that everything in our house that we use daily, and don't think about, actually causes a huge effect on the world. To decrease my carbon footprint I will try to save water and install some solar powered equipment in my future home. I will also move to a place where I can recycle daily and reduce the amount of waste.
I think its a good idea to use less water and to start recycling because we can reuse things over and over so we wont be as wasteful.
I think having solar energy in your house is a great idea, it's good for the environment and it will save you money.
Your carbon footprint is low and thats a good thing
lmao that sounds like a lot of wishful thinking
Your carbon footprint is low and thats actually a good think mine came out higher then yours but great ideas
Your carbon footprint is really low and that is a good thing. My carbon footprint is way higher then yours. I'm glad that you know exactly what you need to do , if you were to lower your carbon footprint.
