Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Taking the bus, carpooling, walking, or biking are also little things that can overall have a big effect on the environment
I agree. People will spend time driving for hours unaware of how much they are increasing their carbon footprint.
i agree too... walking or riding a bike is better then using cars.
i agree. but that is hard to do around here!
I agree because who is going to ride a bike to get to there job and travel states
I also agree because those little things decrease everyones carbon footprint bit by bit. I also think that taking the BART(Bay Area train transportation) is a good way to travel. I think this because it is cheap it can fit the most places and and it can get you to your destination fast.
I think everyone should take the bus to school, not only does it reduce carbon footprint, but also reduces trafiic.
Thats a good idea. Transportation made my footprint very high. I think using those ideas you mentioned, will allow people to continue to travel ,as long as they consider doing these options of transportation while at home. Hi from Orange Park Florida!
Carpooling would probably be the best option. People cannot always walk or ride their bike to work or school. Carpooling is not much different from driving yourself. The only difference is you do not have to wait for someone else.
