Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

MY FOOTPRINT
Hello my name is SungJoon from Guatemala
My footprint is higher than the average person in Guatemala but about the same as the average human. My total footprint is 6,426 kgs of CO2 per year, compared to the average of 1954 kgs of CO2 in Guatemala.
I had a huge amount of release in Food (3,485kgs) which is more than 4 times the average in Guatemala (938kgs).
Any suggestions to reduce my food intake?
I am also from Guatemala. What a coincidence, I think your footprint is not that bad because of all the poverty that exists in our country.
I agree since there a polarization of money in our country. The rich people have a bigger carbon footprint than the average person in Guatemala since they can spend more money on resources. The people with more money can eat more food and purchase more items. Also, the average person in Guatemala uses public transportation while the higher classes use personal vehicles. I think that's why we have higher carbon footprints than the average person.
