Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Driving Less
Hi my name is Jordan King from Orange Park, Florida. My carbon footprint is heavily impacted by the amount of driving that i do. I could reduce this by doing less driving when possible. Instead of taking separate cars when hanging with friends and family, i could car pool and reduce my footprint. I could also look into other options such as walking or riding a bike when going up the street or traveling short distances.
I do believe this is a great way to reduce your carbon footprint. I know my carbon footprint was large just because of my method of transportation. If i travel less then my carbon footprint will be lower.
I agree that this is a good idea. But in under developed countries, walking or riding a bike is not an option because of the high rates of danger in the streets.
