Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Carbon and Beef
According to multiple sources such as the Scientific American, beef is a primary contributor to carbon emissions on our planet. According to statistics given by the Scientific American, the beef industry produces more carbon than both industry and transportation. Taking into account deforestation, massive cattle populations (waste, food, water, slaughter), and the production, packaging, and transportation of beef product, the meat industry produces a concerning carbon footprint. Clearly this is a problem our world faces. However, my question remains, how will it be possible to convince the planet, or even just Americans for that matter, to reduce their beef consumption. I for one, love meat more than most things in my life, especially a good steak. So overall, I am just wondering if a solution to this issue is possible at all... what can we do???
