Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Want or Need
Most children in the average first world environment claim that having the newest technology is something that they absolutely need. This is a thought brought on constant awareness of newer technologies around us. Have a iPhone 5s that works perfectly well? Well the guy sitting next to you has an iPhone 7, and its…. Better, somehow, I guess. In any case everyone will fawn over the guy and his fancy new phone and of course soon everyone will have one. So of course if you want to fit in, you need the new phone. However, that is completely untrue. No one needs a new cell phone, there are people out there who still use Iphone 4’s with no difficulty at all. The fact of the matter is that no one really need the newest technology right off the bat. We just on to be the cool kid who did get it. An article from socialmediaweek.org gives great insight into this subject.
