Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Julia H. My Carbon Footprint (North Carolina)

Juliah

My name is Julia. I live in Mooresville, North Carolina, United States. I am 17 years old. The total for my carbon footprint was 17471. That total was below average for my region. The majority of my carbon footprint came from transportation. I was surprised that I didn’t go over for my house. I learned that I need to travel less. I need to travel less and use more energy efficient things throughout the day to decrease my carbon footprint.

Hi Julia! I also live in Mooresville, North Carolina, United States. I am also 17 years old to! My carbon footprint was 25,314kgs! The majority of the emissions from my footprint also came from transportation. I think a way for me to decrease my carbon footprint is to buy and use more energy efficient things!
