Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

food waste

Furu

I have not read ALL the (probably good) comments, but I just want to write one thing:
I think that our problem is also food waste.
Today's food is all so perfect and lasting, therefore we always tend to buy more than is necessary and as a result we waste A LOT of food. We cook too many times a day (=> energy waste), and if we buy naturally food that isnt so perfect, it becomes rotten and what is supposed to do? Throw it in the rubbish.
(And at the same time there is - somewhere - someone who is poor.)
So.. just care more about it :-)
