Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Hello. Carbon footprints are a great way to let people know that all the things that they do in their daily life do effect the earth. My transportation was 5,163 and that is pretty low compared to my friends outcomes but I still feel like I can get it lower. My home energy was 8,133 and that was really high so I really need to get that down. My food was 3,561 and I am proud that my food is low my friends got really high numbers for that so I'm happy that mine is low. My purchases was 306 and that is kind of high for purchases but based off my friends theirs were a lot higher. I am pretty proud of my outcome for scores but I know I can do better. I hope everyone has low scores for these and if they don't they try to improve their scores.
