Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Recycleing

awsome

We should half to recycle more so it's not as polluted with all the trash laying around all over the ground. If there wasn't as much trash all over the ground it would be safer for the environment. Because the trash has harmful chemicals and greenhouse gasses are released from landfill sites. Recycling helps to reduce pollution caused by the waste. We would be saving a lot of animals if we recycle because then the fish won't die from all of the pollution if we would all just recycle.40% of America's rivers and 46% of America's lakes are too polluted for fishing, swimming, or aquatic life. 1.2 trillion gallons of untreated sewage, storm water, and industrial waste in are waters. We can stop it by stopping factories from dumping waste in are lakes and rivers.
