Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Transportation
Hello, my name is Amy. I have recently done a project for my environmental science class. I realized that my transportation score was really high. I should really consider carpooling with someone to school. My mom drives me every day. I’m thinking about carpooling because I could save my mother’s gas. I have a neighbor who drives to school every day, when I could easily get a ride from him. It would make my transportation lower and would be helping the environment. Right now, I’m sitting above average from people that I have compared to. Hopefully that will change after I start carpooling. 25% of the 90% of pollution is due to cars. So not only would I only be saving my mom’s gas I will be less apart of the pollution.
