Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Pollution
I think we should use less transportation because when we move by car there is pollution that gets out and is hurting our beautiful environment so we are killing animals and our city. Car exhausts emit a wide range of gases and solid matter, causing global warming, acid rain, and harming the environment and human health. Engine noise and fuel spills also cause pollution. Cars have long put millions of tons of dirt and bad chemicals into the air and water. This trend had been led by consumer demand followed by profiting manufacturers, oil companies, and government inaction. But we could stop it if we used other transportation like bikes and skate boards so we don't have as much pollution in the air killing the environment.
