Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Family Carbon footprint

leibold1

Most of the results I got were on me. But this here is my family's impact. My family would most likely be much higher. They drive around to work in cars so that increases it. Also with home energy my family does what I do. We both turn lights off when we leave the room. We don’t have the lights on that much. My family’s food footprint would also be more. Since its more people it would be much higher. Finally purchases would be higher as well for my family. My mom buys all my clothes and the groceries. I sometimes come along but I don’t buy.
