Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

My Carbon Footprint

blasemorin

I'm Blase Morin and I live in Mooresville, North Carolina in America. I am 14 years old. My carbon footprint was lower than average it was 8,124kg's and the average is 15,918 for the area I live in. The majority of my footprint came from my house. The results I saw didn't really surprise me I was really expecting that it was going to be lower than average. The thing that surprised me was that there was a lot in home part of my footprint. I learned that even if you thing you don't have a big carbon footprint you might want to look into it because it can be lower than you think or higher than you think. The thing I can do to lower my carbon footprint is that I can use my house power or heating/cooling less than I regularly do.
