Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

My Carbon Footprint

clairegraham

My name is Claire Graham from Mooresville, North Carolina, United States. I am 16 years old and my Carbon Footprint total was 15,869. This was pretty similar to the average person in North Carolina . My transportation was above average due to going to work often and being with friends many days during the week. I don't buy as much as the average person due to the reuse of clothes. My family recycles and and we reuse many materials in our home. I was not surprised by this outcome. I expected to be close to average due to my families use of resources. I hope to drive less in the future and use my car in a more essential way.
