Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

My Carbon Footpring

wangtangtheg

My name is Andrew Praskala and I'm from Mooresville, NC. The school I attend is called Mooresville High School, I'm currently fifteen years old and a freshman at this establishment. After I calculated my carbon footprint, my footprint resulted in 15,687, while the average was 15,918. The majority of mine came from home. I was not surprised because I'm quite aware that I'm not very efficient when it comes to containing resources. At home I'm wasting too many resources - for instance, I should reduce the amount of heating I use for my home.
