Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Carbon footprint
My name is Taylor, I am from Mooresville NC and I am 15 years old. My total carbon footprint is 30,147. It is for sure above average. I'm not surprised that its this high because my family and I are always going somewhere so it comes from transpiration. My transportation is 22,615. I think I can better this by eating at home and not going out as much unless I HAVE to.
You should definitely try walking or riding a bike or at least running, its good for your health and should reduce that number significantly. Also try using less water when brushing your teeth or showering should help as well.
you could convince your parents to get a car thats energy efficient and cut down on the amount of trips that you take/use it for something important.you could also use other ways of moving such as walking, bike or carpool
Majority of my score came from transportation also! I am also going to try to not drive as much and if I did I will carpool ![]()
By walking or riding a bike you could help reduce your Carbon Footprint
Eating at home can help out instead eating outside your home
