Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Myracle

My name is Myracle. I am from Mooresvillle,NC,US. I am 15 years old. The total of my carbon footprint is 7,390. This probably about average. It’s not high because we don't really go out that much. Our highest carbon footprint is home. Cause that’s where we usually are. My results were not what i expected. I was a little surprised that my highest one was home. I leave the water running when i brush my teeth, and i leave lights on when I'm not in that room. I learned that i need to start turning stuff off in the house. So we can save energy.
