Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.
Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?
Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Carbon Footprint
My name is Dilyn Roudebush. I live in Mooresville, NC and I am 14 years old. My carbon footprint is 35,995 and the average is 15,918. Most of it came from transportation. I wasn't surprised to see my results because i travel a lot and the majority of it came from planes considering last year I flew 12,000 miles.
So I need to travel less to decrease my footprint.
I think if you did not fly as much your carbon foot print would be lower
I think that is a huge difference that you could drastically improve. Just as a start try doing less in other things too, like decrease light use in the day time or turn off the water when you brush your teeth. Travel might be a huge part of your carbon use but decreasing your carbon footprint anyway you can is a good thing.
I think you need to not go on planes as much
I think you should get your airplane miles in and then fly way less often.
