Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

Carbon footprint

jon_b

I found out a lot about my families carbon footprint. We use the incandescent light bulbs and I want him to use fluorescent ones. Our family needs to recycle more. we don't recycle because we live out in the country. Our garbage people don't pick up any recycling so we can't recycle any thing. I think that is why our house is so high. Also I need to turn off the lights during the day and use sunlight. I think that is why our home is so high.

By recycling you can save a bunch! This can drastically decrease your carbon footprint.
