Student Footprints

Students from around the world calculated their class mean and standard deviations for their footprints and posted them on our world map.

Do you see differences across the globe? If so, why do you think those differences exist?

Did you use the calculator to try to reduce your footprint down to the average from a citizen of another country? What changes would you have to make to lower your footprint in this way? Are you going to try and take some of these actions in your daily life?

My carbon footprint!

bendo123

Mine was very good actually I think 14,297 which is high I know but, it was lower than what is known as the “average” amount of American use. Even tho it was less only by 1,000 or so it wasn’t higher so you have to stay positive. Something I think that I have a decent size family and we stay at home a lot most of the lights are left on. I know this is cause my younger siblings simply don’t care about the carbon use they have which is something I should teach them cause it will damage our community. One more thing I could do is travel on my bike more cause I was really surprised that travel was my most only because we stay at home a lot.

You should try to turn lights off whenever you aren't using them and try to keep an eye on your younger siblings so that they aren't leaving lights on.

If you turn your light out or switch to LED lights it will decrease your carbon footprint by a lot.
